Trackspin: Hillsong - With You.
It was played by ED yesterday during the Con1 retreat. Thought it was familiar and somehow it only got added to the repetoire recently. Then I got home and checked my laptop, to realise that I've been listening to it since March 2006. Sometimes, it's the little figures that hit you and I think that this song was really good and went nicely for the session.
It's been an "okay" weekend for me. Friday's bookout was the best so far, being able to meet you and finally eat ice cream together again, though we didn't exactly have the luxury of time either.
Basketball on Saturday was fun though it lacked people. Mat agreed too and we're thnking if we should keep it to lesser people instead. Maybe we'll wind up with a pilot plan for it or something. For an idea and starters, we only had 5 players yesterday. Not even enough for 3v3. But it was still great and fun, plus I'd say we got alot more of a workout rather than playing 5v5 and not having the space to run around. A whole lot of fun despite being tired from running about so much.
The Con1 retreat was okay I guess. Wound up doing sound for ED, going back to how I started out there. But it was interesting, plus the inclusion of 2 new songs. Quite a bit was discussed after, by a few of us, over drinks. Sadly, I won't be able to be around for the meet up this Thursday. And to the shredder, Happy 20th Birthday, Eugene Pius Wong. Heh. Hope you have a good year ahead of you and get to that date you're looking forward to soon enough. =)
Lan party was pretty good and all, with alot of people being able to make it down this time around. Kheng turned out to be quite proficient at killing people and yeah, we had quite a laugh at times, just struggling to get positions and flags. Wound up with a ridiculous scenario with 4 of us being in a guard tower, holding onto our lives haha. More soon, perhaps, when I've the time to organise it again.
Today was just mass and heading to the library to get some comics to read. Currently eating my lunch right now, which is rather miserable and I'm just gonna clean up my room a little before booking in later. I'm not looking forward to this week at all. I'm just praying I get through it and survive.
The foundation on which I want to base my life on.
Grant me the strength to accept what I cannot change.
Grant me the serenity to know that things will work out how you want them to.
Because all things happen in Your time, not ours.
Amen.
